Our Story, Mission, and Value

Williamsburg Veterinary Hospital was founded in 2005 by Dr. Anne Woolstencroft, who returned to Kitchener after attending the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph and practicing in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Her goal was to build a hospital where veterinary care feels like a partnership—where owners are heard, options are explained clearly, and decisions are made together with one shared priority: the best possible life for each pet. That vision shaped our mission statement, “Working Together for Your Pet’s Health”

In 2020, Dr. Angela Forsyth joined Williamsburg Veterinary Hospital, and in 2021, she became a co-owner, continuing the hospital’s privately owned, female-founded leadership and commitment to collaborative, preventive-focused care. She embraced the mission statement, which continues to guide every stage of care we provide for dogs and cats, from early puppy and kitten visits through their senior years.

Such an amazing veterinary clinic! The staff here are sooo accommodating and genuinely kind. My dog is quite reactive, and they do an incredible job making him feel calm and comfortable during visits. You can truly tell they care about both the pets and their owners. I’m so grateful to have found this clinic and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for compassionate veterinary care.

Do you offer preventive and surgical services?

Yes. Our veterinary hospital offers comprehensive services for dogs and cats, including pet wellness care, dental services with full-mouth X-rays, spay and neuter procedures, soft tissue surgery, dermatology support, urgent care appointments, and in-house diagnostic testing. By providing coordinated services in one location, we help families access consistent, efficient care for their pets.

Which areas do you serve outside of Kitchener?

While our hospital is located in Kitchener, we proudly care for pets from Waterloo, Cambridge, and surrounding communities throughout the Waterloo Region. Many families choose Williamsburg Veterinary Hospital for its personalized approach and continuity of care close to home.

What is your payment policy?

We accept cash, debit cards, and credit cards (Mastercard & VISA). We are not able to accept an e-transfer for payment. We provide treatment plans (an estimate of expected costs) for all surgeries and hospitalizations. You are welcome to request a treatment plan at any time for the expected charges for any services we offer.

At Williamsburg Veterinary Hospital, payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients’ needs, customer service, and minimizing costs, we are unable to extend credit or carry balances owing on account.

About Third-Party Financing Options

We understand that unexpected veterinary expenses can occur. To help make care more accessible, our hospital can provide information about third-party financing companies that allow clients to pay for veterinary services over time.

Third-party financing works similarly to a loan or payment plan. If approved, the financing provider pays the veterinary hospital for the services, and the client repays the provider through scheduled payments.
