New Clients

Perhaps you are getting a pet for the first time?   Are you new to the Kitchener area and need to find veterinary care for your current pet?  Or maybe you have had pets before, but it has been a while since you have had a new puppy or kitten?  Here you’ll find everything you need about visiting us with your pet and how Williamsburg Veterinary Hospital can help you.  We have online forms for new clients coming to our Kitchener veterinarian clinic, and information regarding pet insurance and payment options for your visit.

The veterinary hospital you choose for your pet should be able to provide excellent care and exceptional customer service…and at Williamsburg Veterinary Hospital we do just that!  We have assembled a team of veterinary professionals to offer you the best possible healthcare for your pet. Our hospital is clean, comfortable, and smells great!    Call 519-571-7221 to schedule an appointment and we will find a time that is convenient for you.

If this is your pet’s first visit to our clinic, it is important that we call any previous veterinary clinics on your behalf to obtain a copy of your pet’s medical records.  Obtaining this information allows us to see what illnesses and/or treatments your pet has had in the past, and helps us to continue the appropriate care.  If you keep a journal of your pet’s health, please share this with us as well.  Any information you have regarding your pet’s habits and behaviours can help the veterinarian best treat your pet.

Once a year, you should bring in your pet to Williamsburg Veterinary Hospital for a check-up. This annual visit will include a full physical exam. One of our veterinarians will check the health of your pet from “head to tail”.  At that time we will discuss vaccinations with you, and if needed, will update any appropriate vaccines to best protect your pet.  Please feel free to bring up any questions or concerns you have at that time.

If there are circumstances with the health of your pet that are beyond the scope of a general practitioner, in some circumstances, Dr. Woolstencroft, Dr. Forsyth and Dr. Delorme will refer you to a specialist who has advanced expertise in areas such as internal medicine or surgery.

Our priority at Williamsburg Veterinary Hospital is the health of your pet!
